Title: Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for Student Pathway Strategies Department: Academic Affairs Number of Positions: 1 Position #: 600060 Classification: 3m on campus mobile Pay Rate: $90,720 - $115,320/per year. Position Summary: The overall purpose of this position is to assist the Vice President of Academic Affairs in supporting the vision of Academic Affairs to advance academic excellence within the College. In alignment with the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the mission and vision of the institution, this role will advance the development, review, and assessment of all academic student pathway and success strategies at the College. This involves supporting the development of educational partnerships with K-12 and university partners, internal academic student success and engagement strategies, including development, implementation and internal oversight of pathway curriculum for dual credit, dual enrollment, transfer and articulation, prior learning assessment, internships, and cohorts. As a designee of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, this position will manage issues of academic student misconduct and academic grant oversight. This position works in partnership with the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for Program Implementation Strategies, participates in the Academic Affairs senior leadership as a member of the Academic Leadership Team, and partners with campus leaders across divisions to meet the needs of students, faculty, and the college. Essential Functions: 20% Assist in leading cross-divisional collaboration to advance the academic vision and strategic plan of the College by ensuring the student academic pathway experience supports student success through pre-college, work-based learning, and articulation transfer strategies. Collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to assess the need(s) and pathways for dual credit and enrollment, prior learning assessment, internships, and transfer opportunities, including oversight of these strategies to support the needs of the College and the community. 15% Lead development, implementation, and review of dual credit and dual enrollment pathways and opportunities, including oversight of relevant curriculum, that facilitate successful early college experiences for high school students, including the tracking and assessment of these opportunities. 15% Lead the development, implementation, and review of prior learning assessment, internship, and cohort opportunities that provide students with substantial work-based learning experience, including the tracking and assessment of these opportunities. 15% Lead development, implementation, and review of articulation transfer agreements in partnership with university transfer partners that facilitate successful transition of students to receiving institutions, including the tracking and assessment of these opportunities. 10% As designee of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, oversee and manage the coordination and implementation of academic grants, including oversight of Perkins Grant. 5% Responsible for the operational oversight of relevant Academic Services, including leadership in budget development, resource allocation and management to support the strategic and operational priorities of the School and the College. Make recommendations to the Vice President of Academic Affairs on budgetary requests, needs, and expenditures. Seek internal and external funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships, to supplement institutional resources as appropriate and necessary. 5% Support college-wide initiatives to advance the mission of the College, including active participation in institutional governance by serving on committees, task forces, and working groups as appointed. Serve as a designee of the Vice President of Academic Affairs as assigned and appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned by the President and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs. 5% Assist the chief academic officer to monitor and maintain compliance of student success strategies with College policy, TBR Policy, and SACSCOC accreditation standards. 5% Support and encourage professional development of staff and faculty. Seek out and engage in annual professional development opportunities to stay current on trends and best practices in academic leadership. Represent the College in external forums and professional development organizations. 5% Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures of the College and the Tennessee Board of Regents.
