Responsibilities

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Telephony Communications team. This Agile team focuses on delivering Cisco related technologies currently but will transition to AWS in the future. The team focuses on accurate, straightforward, and effective voice communications through routing solutions for our customers, associates, and partners. We strive to use data to uncover underlying issues and identify opportunities for improving communications. As our technologies advance, we are exploring new communication designs and platforms in line with State Farm's initiatives and third-party telematics opportunities. The ideal candidate will prioritize scalability, performance, resiliency, efficiency, quality of communication delivery, and systematic error handling.



Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Skills:

* High level of experience with Cisco Unified Communications environment including:
o Unified Contact Center Enterprise - UCCE
o The ability to understand, decipher, and troubleshoot existing Cisco Customer Voice Portal applications
o Multi-Contact Center experience with Cisco ICM Call Flow scripting
* Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and the ability to write ad-hoc queries
* Use and experience with full Microsoft 365 Office Products with particular focus on Vision

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

* Proficiency with AWS concepts, services, architecture, and best practices
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java
* Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
* Experience with logging and observability platforms like Splunk and Dynatrace
* Familiarity with OAuth client credential flow and identity providers like Entra ID
* Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
* Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes
* Familiarity with ROSA
* Familiarity with analytics tools such as Power BI and Quicksight



Our Benefits

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

  • Potential starting salary range: $85,500 - $121,900
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
  • Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary

HYBRID: Qualified candidates (in or near hub locations listed below) should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment.

Hybrid work arrangement for Enterprise Technology is defined as residing with a 180-mile radius of the Hubs and Corporate.
