Data Technician III

Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our customer in Colorado.

Here's what you'd do:

• Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices. Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops).

• Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops.

• Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location).Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.)

• Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment.

• This role could require driving and or driving a box truck, so an MVR will be ran

• Linux/UNIX (RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora)
  • Installation and Configuration
  • Working knowledge of Linux "Command Line" functions
• Desktop support (HW: PC, Printers, Peripheral SW: Windows OS, Anti-virus (McAfee)
• Desktop functions: (Reimage PC, Remote desktop, minor troubleshooting, SW installs)
• People skills: (Customer focused, communications skills to relay information clearly, organize daily workload, teaming skills)

• Active Directory knowledge
• Networking knowledge
• Server knowledge
• Firewall protocol knowledge
• SCCM knowledge
• Network skills: (TCPIP)
• Documentation: ability to follow processes and procedures effectively

Additional Information:

• Clean driving record as an MVR might be ran. Please note, you must be comfortable potentially driving company vehicles/cars from site to site.

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

• Possible lifting may be required up to 50 lbs.

• Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
