Position Purpose As a Senior Business Analyst within OpenSky, you will have the opportunity to leverage advanced analytics and strategic thinking to solve challenging business problems. We are looking for a results-focused individual with exceptional analytical skills and business judgment and experience with SQL and Python. You will be part of a growing team that has an opportunity to grow a new business line. You will play a pivotal role in developing the acquisitions stage credit policy for a new unsecured credit card product. You will be part of a collaborative environment that values your input, and you will have the opportunity to develop and test strategies that impact the bottom line. Prior experience with credit analytics and consumer lending is a plus.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform credit analysis using advanced analytics in SQL and/or Python
- Analyze and optimize customer acquisitions strategies, including approve/decline policy, credit line assignment, and acquisitions channels
- Develop recommendations on credit strategies based on performance analysis, resiliency testing, and business judgment
- Present data-backed recommendations to leadership based on your analysis
- Build valuations model to inform credit policy recommendations
- Establish testing and monitoring plans
- Lead the creation of dashboards to proactively monitor credit risk and policy performance, identifying whether policy adjustments are needed
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business)
- 3-7+ years of experience in advanced analytics, including developing credit policies in unsecured lending
- Experience building valuations models (preferred)
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Highly proficient with analytical tools such as Python and SQL
- Exceptional results-focus and relentless persistence in solving problems
- A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics
- Exceptional critical thinking skills with extreme attention to detail
- Successful track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills: ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex analytical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Working Arrangements
- This is a hybrid role expected to work in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. You will be able to work remotely on Wednesday.
Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000 annually. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
- Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
