Job Description:
- Working with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide instruction, service, and troubleshooting techniques for respiratory equipment to patients. - Educate and teach patients and caregivers how to use and care for respiratory equipment - Setting up equipment, explaining equipment to patients, explaining financial responsibilities to patients. - Complete all company, insurance and/or government provided paperwork timely and entirely. Such as Delivery tickets, safety checklist forms, patient booklet receipts, equipment specific instruction/cleaning forms, etc. - Equipment are CPAP, BiPAP, Oxygen, Nebulizers, etc. - Customer Service Specialists are responsible for learning and understanding the entire front-end process to ensure successful service for our patients - Answering inbound calls and making outbound calls, email - May be responsible for obtaining, analyze, and verify the accuracy of information received from referrals, create orders, and or schedule the patient to receive equipment as ordered by their doctor - Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner, in adherence to their goals - Process orders, route calls to the appropriate resources, and follow up on customer calls where necessary ON-CALL AFTER 6 MONTHS: They have a rotation sign up sheet where employees from all locations give their availability or unavailability for the coming month. They will be able to work remote during their on-call days. They will be working "on call" 1-3 times per month. Some people genuinely enjoy it, so that allows other people to not have to do it as much. They will log their hours for however long they are on the phone with each customer, sometimes there will be days they do not receive a single call. For the time they log, they will receive their hourly wage. Even if they do not take ANY calls, they will still receive their stipend (see below). They don't necessarily need to be at home for these days, but they MUST be somewhere with their computer/wi-fi and it must be a private area due to the confidential information they will be discussing over the phone. MUST HAVE: High School Diploma or equivalent One (1) year work related experience in health care administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center *Will be working at the Lansing location, and going on site at hospitals and assisted living facilities (YOU WILL NOT TRAVEL UNTIL YOU ARE DIRECT after 6 months) to set up and explain/troubleshoot equipment. The first 6 months can be looked at as training to get up to speed and you would be a normal customer service representative in the store during that time. Training may be at a different location (Kalamazoo) and gas mileage is always paid.* - Mon-Fri 8am-5pm w/ 1 hour lunch - Training: Hands on training with management, should be about a month until they are completely on their own. Will need to learn medical equipment, as well as their computer system. - While on contract, the employee will not be leaving the Lansing location but will be trained during their contract period to eventually enter homes and assist the RT with equipment setup and instructions for the patients. *Experience Level* Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
