*This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ in Carlsbad, CA. In-office expectation is 3 days a week*.

ABOUT THE POSITION

prAna is seeking a Social Media & PR Specialist who will work to implement and manage the execution of social media strategies that promote the brand and engage our target audience across various social media platforms. This role will be responsible for the building of the social calendar, execution of social postings, creating lo-fi social content, and pulling social reporting. Additionally, this role will support PR seeding & event initiatives. The person in this roles should have excellent communication and organization skills, as well as the ability to work effectively and proactively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment. This position will report to the Social Media Program Manager.

HOWY YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Social Media & Influencers

  • Support development of Social Calendar & scheduling social content for all relevant platforms including but not limited to - Instagram, Tiktok, Threads, LinkedIn

  • Support influencer & social content from ideation & briefing through execution

  • Create short form video content in-office or locally for Tiktok, IG, and YouTube Shorts

  • Responsible for social community management - moderating comments, DMs, inquiries on social channels in brand voice, always responding in a timely manner, and escalating when appropriate.

  • Support Retail Team social briefing and communication

  • Influencer / ambassador communication as needed

  • Oversee product seeding efforts for events and partners including athletes, influencers, and community through order capture and placement.

  • Weekly and monthly social media performance monitoring, analyzing performance data and making recommendations for channel improvements

  • Weekly social trend and competitor patterning, bringing relevant trends to incorporate in content

  • Uploading influencer assets to internal Content Hub and communication across teams when assets are available

  • Identify and present potential brand partners for social or community collaborations

  • Assist with executing branded events and capturing social media coverage

  • Support Social & Influencer invoicing & billing

  • Responsible for scheduling social/influencer meetings, booking rooms, sharing agenda and posting of meeting notes

PR & Events

  • Work closely with Dir. Of Marketing on monthly PR agency product priorities

  • Support consumer, influencer, celebrity, editor event activations from ideation to execution.

  • Responsible for scheduling pr meetings, booking rooms, sharing agenda and post meeting notes

  • Share out of monthly external PR report

  • Manage Seeding Box inventory, putting seeding boxes together as needed

  • Manage PR & Influencer seeding inventory, tracking to monthly budget allocations

  • Sample Kit packing & X-Coding Support as needed

  • Support PR invoicing & billing

YOU HAVE

  • 3 - 5 years experience in social, influencers and / or in the pr space, ideally for another apparel brand or at an agency working in the apparel, active, or outdoor space

  • Experience creating lo-fi video content for TikTok, IG Reels & Youtube Shorts, experience leveraging editing tools (Capcut, Canva, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc)

  • Love and knowledge of all things social, a passion about keeping a pulse on trends and social conversations.

  • A passion for apparel, retail, and product marketing and a drive to become an expert on prAna consumer and brand

Salary Range: $62,200 - $96,600 *Pay decisions are determined by multiple factors, including what the market is paying, a candidate's capabilities and skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
