Apply Job Description The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for working with a team of engineers to develop software solutions used in controllers and peripherals of fiber based lasers and optical amplifier products. Duties: * Manufacturing test and calibration support along with system debugging * New product development and support of existing products * Project management, Specifications, and Documentation of new designs * Updating and maintaining existing designs Requirements * 5+ years experience in C/C++ programming * BS or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent * Excellent hands on technical skills * Ability to specify and understand electrical hardware interfaces * Experience with manufacturing test and automation programming methodologies * Demonstrate excellent technical writing skills and the ability to provide high quality engineering documents * Strong communication skills required for interaction within group, with internal customers, R&D, and European colleagues Experience in One or More Areas a Plus: * Visual Studio/C# * Unix/Linux * Embedded RTOS * Software based control systems Location(s) 225 Cedar Hill Road, Marlborough , Massachusetts 01752 , United States Employment Type Exempt
