Your Impact
You will partner with the leadership team to shape the strategy, establish priorities, and support the delivery of the Connected Leaders Academy (CLA) portfolio, including programs, new offerings and growth initiatives, and efforts to drive client impact.
You will be responsible for managing and executing key initiatives and projects. These may include areas such as portfolio growth and innovation, team experience, operational efficiency, resource management, delivery excellence, technology and platform transformation, and tracking and sharing impact insights.
You will also support the design, development, and delivery of programs by reviewing and refining existing curricula, leveraging your expertise, and collaborating with subject matter experts to strengthen or build new offerings. In addition, you will work proactively with CLA leadership to identify and shape opportunities that enhance client impact and enable growth.
You will monitor key performance metrics-both participant/client impact and financial results-to identify areas for improvement and implement agreed-upon recommendations. You will lead initiatives focused on people, process, and technology to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of learning programs.
In this role, you will also be responsible for developing and managing program and project resources, including determining resourcing needs. You will help plan and execute new programs and initiatives, as needed, in alignment with regional and business priorities.
You will lead and manage a team by recruiting, developing, coaching, motivating, and evaluating team members. This includes overseeing onboarding processes for new team members to ensure a strong start.
You will work collaboratively with other learning professionals to support content design, leverage existing materials, and share best practices. In addition, you will partner closely with the broader CLA leadership team to align on strategy and organizational priorities. As a senior member of the team, you will also serve as a thought partner and leader on special projects and organizational change initiatives.
Your Growth
The Connected Leaders Academy team is hiring a Manager to complement the current leadership team (Director, two Senior Managers and a Manager) which leads the ~30 member team. You'll be located in one of our North America locations, leading the delivery of client facing leadership program(s), a team of colleagues, and key priority initiatives.
Connected Leaders Academy(CLA) comprises a portfolio of leadership development programs for clients across tenures (early professionals, midcareer managers, and senior executives). Programs provide participants an opportunity to connect identity, authenticity, and leadership as well as spaces for deeper levels of discovery and discussion, some of which may be particularly relevant in the context of Black, Hispanic and Latino, and Asian identities. CLA programs have reached over 100,000 leaders from over 1,300 organizations to date. CLA recently expanded to a new geography (Brazil) and launched a new program (People Leadership Edge) to help people leaders develop the mindsets, skills and behaviors needed to motivate teams, foster collaboration and enhance performance.
Together with the Director, two Senior Managers and a Manager, you will lead a ~30-person team who plan and deliver client facing leadership development programs and key strategic initiatives and projects which range across facets of the work including portfolio growth and innovation, team / people experience, team operations and resource management, delivery excellence, technology / platform transformation, impact tracking and insights radiation, among other areas. You will directly lead several of these initiatives and help shape go forward priorities.
Your qualifications and skills
  • University degree
  • 6+ years of learning/relevant experience, ideally in a professional services environment, or equivalent McKinsey consulting experience
  • Solid knowledge and/or experience in the learning and development industry including learning program design and delivery
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to build relationships with and manage multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (in English) including ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Excellent thought leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Outstanding process management skills with a hands-on, action-oriented style
  • Highly self-driven and motivated; proactive, resourceful problem solver, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset

For new joiners for this role in Canada and/or the United States, including all office locations where the job may be performed, a reasonable estimated range is $159,200 - $212,100 in USD and $153,000 - $204,000 in CAD - to help you understand what you can expect. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest salary for this role at the time of this posting, ensuring you have a clear picture right from the start, though it's important to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
