We are seeking a seasoned, energetic sales executive with proven experience in the telecommunications and/or utilities industries and a passion for creating opportunities and driving results.

As a member of the Diversified Markets (DM) business unit, the Senior Industry Executive will lead sales efforts focused into large named accounts on our 'Major Accounts' team in the telecommunications and utilities verticals. The individual will be responsible for hitting new sales targets and working with their Sales VP and SVP of Sales, Vertical Leadership and the cross matrix support organization, including - Product Management, Sales Engineering, Delivery, Analytics, Legal, Compliance, and others - to execute on a strategic plan to uncover new sales opportunities, close on existing opportunities, and build high level relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will be a true strategic thinker who can navigate large complex organizations, develop relationships with the right stakeholders and drive results. Your experience navigating the challenges of large telco and utilities operators and overcoming obstacles will be critical to the success of your role.

The ability to accurately forecast is a must. Furthermore, it is expected that you will contribute positively to Transunion's brand reputation in the market. What You'll Bring:

Our Diversified Markets team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Industry Executive, supporting our Telecommunications & Utilities verticals. This sales position is accountable for achieving annual new business and revenue goals through customer relationship development, opportunity prioritization, consultative sales, and superior negotiation and closing skills. This key role will be responsible for prospecting and selling our identity, risk, credit, fraud, contact efficiency, and collections solutions into Tier 1 and Tier 2 prospects and clients. This position provides both great earnings and professional development opportunities.

  • In this role, you will engage in prospecting activities including outbound communications, in-person meetings, and attending trade shows & conferences to create revenue generating opportunities. You will drive net new pipeline in partnership with our marketing and lead generation teams.
  • Develop and execute a territory plan to prioritize high-potential customers or prospects. Develop Account Plans for the top targets.
  • Manage and drive existing pipeline through the sales opportunity lifecycle: pipeline generation, discovery, presentation, negotiation and deal close with an emphasis on demonstrating value and ROI.
  • In the pursuit of new sales opportunities, you will leverage and partner with TransUnion's sales support resources (e.g., our Line of Business Market Development Teams, Global Solutions Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), pre-sales engineers, account managers)
  • Collect, interpret and share market, customer and competitive intelligence concerning the relevant use cases
  • Promote communication, team building, personal development, customer directed innovation and other traits to project and strengthen the culture of the company

Impact You'll Make:

  • Demonstrated experience within and/or knowledge of the telecommunications and/or utilities industries would be preferred, ideally including customer onboarding, identitymanagement, credit, fraud, contact center/contact efficiency, and collections use cases.
  • Proven client engagement skills including prospecting, relationship-building, deal making, negotiating and closing
  • Detail oriented; dedicated to quality; customer-focused
  • Bachelor's degree in from an accredited college or university or the equivalent in experience

Pay Scale Information : The U.S. base salary range for this position is $94,000.00 - $148,000.00 annually. This position is eligible for both base pay and commission earnings. TransUnion commission targets are generally 20% - 50% of base salary and may vary based on position. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
