Position Summary |
The Research Technician's primary responsibility will be to support
UNC
CRS Operations. This position will also be responsible for data and specimen collection, processing, and shipment, maintenance of electronic and paper-based research records and regulatory documents in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as
GCP. The Research Assistant will work as part of a team and support the Investigators of Record, the Research Coordinator(s), and other research team members in their work.
The RT's primary work location will be on
UNC-Chapel Hill's campus, but travel to other local sites (such as Eastowne and the Wake County Health Department) may also be required, depending on the unit's current needs. This position will provide support to our entire Infectious Disease Research Portfolio via laboratory processing, clinical research support, and administrative duties. |

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. |

Valid driver's license. |

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Willingness to be trained in and follow study-specific protocols and procedures, and adhere to Good Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Ability to work both independently and within a team to achieve research aims.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Excellent computing skills, including experience with Microsoft Office 365, and knowledge of data management.
Ability to maintain a high level of detail and accuracy in work.
Prior research or laboratory experience is not required, but preferred.
Exposure to bloodborne pathogens. |
