Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst with 8+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Statistics Retail Demand Forecasting MS Excel SQL Scripting and MS PowerPoint. Experience in Smart Grid Operations and Utilities is a plus. This role requires working from the office during day shifts with no travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis of large datasets to identify trends and patterns in retail demand forecasting.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of statistical models to improve demand forecasting accuracy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to customers based on data analysis.
  • Apply MS Excel to create complex data models and perform advanced data analysis.
  • Use SQL scripting to extract manipulate and analyze data from various databases.
  • Develop and deliver presentations using MS PowerPoint to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data quality checks.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of demand forecasting models and make necessary adjustments.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends in data analysis and demand forecasting using standard methodologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts in data analysis techniques and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis processes and methodologies.
  • Support the companys mission by providing data-driven insights that enhance decision-making and drive business growth.
Qualifications
  • Must have a good background in Statistics.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel SQL Scripting and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Smart Grid Operations and Utilities is a plus.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have good communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must have a keen attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Must have a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • Must be willing to work from the office during day shifts.
  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Must be committed to continuous learning and professional development.
Certifications Required

Certified Data Analyst Microsoft Excel Expert Certification SQL Certification

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until June 7th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000- $117,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
