Position Title: Assembly Wage: $17.00/Hour Shifts: 2nd Shift Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Monday - Friday Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! Assembly Responsibilities: - Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials - Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements - Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies - Verifies specifications by measuring completed component - Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources - Documents actions by completing production and quality forms - Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed - Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards - Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results - Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Requirements For Assembly: - Able to occasional lift and/or move up to 25 pounds - Able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend up to 10 hours a day - Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms up to 10 hours a day - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus - Previous manufacturing experience is required - Ability to follow instructions and work at a consistent pace - Must have excellent communication skills and working as a team QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
