JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the AVP Chief Data Officer, the incumbent works under minimal supervision to provide technical expertise and leadership of the Interface, data engineering and data platform teams that manage the integration of each individual health system application (including EPIC) to each other or to external entities or systems and the Enterprise data platforms. This position also guides the management of the data platforms (Cloud and On Premise) the department's Development Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Job Duties



  • Develop and drive the long-term vision for enterprise data platforms and architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with C-level executives and business leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging data as a strategic asset.
  • Guides the overall management for integration of health systems applications.
  • Guides the overall management of the applications development team which develops and maintains SharePoint sites for the health system.
  • Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system for internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, privacy and security policies, and procedures. Maintains confidentiality as appropriate.
  • Responsible for establishing metrics to measure performance and high-quality system and application integration.
  • Guides the management of interfaces with real-time operational responsibilities.
  • Establishes group's goals and assists in establishing priorities.
  • Directs supervisors and managers on projects. Review budgets and establish financial controls to ensure projects and tasks are within the budget.
  • Responsible for programming maintenance efforts with moderate complexity and communicates effectively to supervisors and managers.
  • Prioritize and facilitate integration requests from operational departments.
  • Implement changes that lead to continuous improvement and efficiencies in customer service.
  • Prepares and oversees budget expenditures.
  • Proven project management and delivery methodology expertise involving both budget and schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Required



  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Experience
    10 years of related experience, preferably healthcare related and at least
    3 years in a supervisory capacity
    Additional years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of stated degree requirement on a year for year basis.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
