The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances. We are deeply committed to our clients and are dedicated to implementing a comprehensive model of care. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Crisis Clinician. This individual provides clinical services to individuals in crisis within the jail, completing screens/intakes and appropriate assessments, conducting therapy sessions, and providing the support necessary for stabilization and release. The Crisis Clinician will also engage in mobile crisis services and provide crisis services at our Crisis Stabilization Center. Evenings Required (1+ days per week after 5 p); Weekends Required. EDUCATION AND LICENSURE: Master's degree in social work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment
EXPERIENCE: Required: One year of experience working in a residential or crisis stabilization unit providing services to clients in acute and crisis situations and supervising clinical staff. Preferred: one year experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices. Benefits
