Description

At UCLA Health, our people are here for more than a career.
They're committed to elevating the lives of everyone they come into contact
with. It's only possible when you're passionate about what you do and where you
get to do it. As a key member of our team, you'll be able to use your unique
experience to help support positive patient experiences.

The ED Clinical Information Managers (CIMs) will assist
Emergency Medicine Physicians with various administrative aspects of patient
care in the RR-UCLA ED. These include documentation of history and physical
findings in the electronic Care Connect medical record, follow-up of laboratory
and x-ray results, paging consults, and assisting in patient admission,
transfers or discharges. CIMs will work in close association with residents and
attending physicians assigned to the department and will be part of the
emergency medicine team. CIMs will also be required to aid in "chart auditing"
both in real-time and retrospectively, which includes reviewing physicians'
charts and procedure notes to ensure completeness, sending incomplete charts
back to physicians and maintaining/updating a work queue log utilized by our
coders. Work hours include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. A 2 year
commitment is preferred. Prior clinical experience is very helpful.
