CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Aviation Section Manager to join our Infrastructure - Aviation Team working remotely.

The Aviation Section Manager, an important technical leadership role at CHA, leads an effective and productive team of technical professionals. This individual's success is measured by their team's technical quality, achieving team utilization targets, engaging, and motivating their team to go above and beyond, and effective management of project budgets. The Aviation Section Manager organizes, directs, and coordinates activities associated with the project scope of work either individually or collectively with their team.

REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering, Architecture, or Aviation related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive Aviation Planning experience is required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Extensive experience working with airport boards, FAA, regulatory agencies, and other organizations
  • Experience with relevant planning and design software required (e.g., AutoCAD, ESRI / ArcGIS)
  • Experience with relevant Aviation Planning software preferred (e.g., AEDT/INM, MS Illustrator, Google Sketchup, or AviPLAN/AeroTURN)
  • Ability to present projects and plans in a public setting and translate technical knowledge into laymen terms
  • Understands QA/QC procedures and basic business practices as well as laws related to aviation planning
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required
  • Proven ability to lead a team
  • Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency in his/her respective discipline
  • Technically astute and strategic in thinking to manage the activity within the team
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
  • A high energy, results-oriented, resourceful leader
  • Ability to resolve matters timely and lead projects to completion with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships across the company
  • Experience with project budgeting preferred
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of accounting processes
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the discipline's technical processes
  • AICP, AAAE Certified Member, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation, Project management Professional (PMP), or Envision Certified Professional (ENV SP) certification preferred


SALARY RANGE:

$112,000 - $136,500

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
