Position description

The UC Irvine School of Education seeks applicants for temporary, part-time lecturer in summer 2025 to teach a course in the Master of Arts with Credential Program. Courses are available in the multiple subject and single subject pathway. Summer Session 1 dates: June 23-July 25; Summer Session 2 dates: August 4-September 8.

Course Descriptions:



  • Design of Learning Environments: Ethnic Studies (ED 206) - 4 units, single subject program, 1 section available in summer session 1.
  • Culture, Diversity and Educational Equity (ED 347) - 4 units, multiple subject program, 2 sections available in summer session 2.
  • Educational Equity and the Exceptional Learner (ED 348B) 2 units, single subject program, 2 sections available in summer session 2.


Service Period Dates:



  • Summer Session 1 dates: June 23-July 25
  • Summer Session 2 dates: August 4-September 8.


Minimum Qualifications:

A master's degree, a record of successful teaching experience, a valid multiple or single subject credential, experience teaching in K-12 setting, and demonstrated expertise in the content of the course to be taught. Relevant experience may be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

A doctoral degree in a field related to the course to be taught. Teaching at University level.

Salary:

Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $66,259. The salary range is $66,259-70,295 annually. (A 4-unit course = 33% of a full time 100% assignment.
