Job Summary

VSolvit is seeking an Application Systems Analyst to support our Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) program. Specifically, work with the customer to analyze the data warehouse and assist in the design of data visualization tools. Functions will include, but not limited to, analyzing current business processes, developing business/functional/technical requirements, developing and testing solutions to client reported issues, and provide support to users for Power BI data visualization for MS SQL Server database.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and determine requirements from stakeholders and users and develop solutions to achieve established business objectives
  • Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program requirements
  • Conduct analysis on problems independently, research and recommend solutions, and execute resolution steps to address client issues.
  • Provide functional support for data visualization (assist in the design of data visualization tools), Power BI data analytics
  • Provide functional support for new initiative implementation activities, such as requirements analysis, development of design, and configuration documentation
  • Create insights from existing DEA data, and drive the collection of new data and ways to address new data
  • Monitoring progress of services and reporting performance milestones
  • Field interface and support pertaining to data and analysis requirements
  • Facilitate meetings with client stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • *Secret Clearance Required
  • *Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • *5- years of experience Business Analyst role or Requirements Analyst role
  • *5-years of experience with SQL; Power BI
  • *5- years of experience with Agile environment.
  • *3- years of experience with Microsoft Office 2010 and higher
  • *5- years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • *5-Years of Client/Stakeholder engagement experience; Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills, and a fine eye for detail
  • The ability to take initiatives and conduct decision analysis reports
  • Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High degree of discretion, full awareness of, and sensitivity to sensitive matters, documents and communications
  • Strong meeting facilitation and planning skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence. As this position is highly visible, a positive and polished professional presence is required
  • Applying modern statistical and ML/AI techniques
  • Some Experience with Microsoft O365
  • Previous DOJ experience a plus
