This is a Monday-Friday, 8-5pm position

Sibley Memorial Hospital, a proud member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, is seeking an APP to join our urology team. The APP will have the following functions:




  • Conducts comprehensieve and episodic health assessments for patients with urologic conditions.
  • Function as a liasion between the urology team and primary care providers, nurse case managers, inpatinet personnel and health care professionals in other specialies. Triage phone calls, answer questions from patients including instructions, medications, refills, biopsies, test results and other aspects of clinical care. Arrange referrals to appropriate specialies when needed.
  • Assist physician with patient management in the clinic. Manage/operate independednt clinics. Assess and/or manage follow-up plans specific to the patient' needs.
  • Coordinate scheduling of complicated patient treatement. Track patient compliance with treatment plan.
  • Consistently requests consultations with appropriate departments when necessary. Works collaborately and provides leadership to optimize team performance and patient outcomes.
  • Establish a plan of care related to the patients' identified problems, including medication and therapeutic procedures. Consult withouther team members regarding proposed treatment guidelines as necessary.



Education and Experience:




  • Licensed to practice as a PA or an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner in the District of Columbia.



    • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or



    • Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of the Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

      -DC Controlled Substances License

      -Federal DEA License

      -Current BLS Certification




  • 1 year of APP experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have urology or gyn experience.

    • New graduates are welcome to apply but must have a strong interest in urology outpatient.


  • Active Healthcare Provider BLS CPR certification

Salary Range: Minimum 57.99/hour - Maximum 89.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
