JOB TYPE Classification:Exempt Supervises Positions:No JOB SUMMARY The Business Intelligence Analyst serves as expert and interacts with management and other team members on analytics and business intelligence (BI) efforts. This role requires the ability to analyze large-scale data sets to derive business insights and identify potential issues, develops analysis plans using quantitative methods and statistical software, and collaborate with different teams in order to design, develop, generate, and validate self-service reports, extracts, and visualizations. The Business Intelligence Analyst provides input into BI requirements and solutions to support operational activities, works closely with leadership to understand current and future needs, and is required to solve complex issues. The Business Intelligence Analyst serves as a subject matter expert of the operational data, analytics processes, and data utilization in their business unit and has a passion for data and BI and analytics. The individual provides "how to" expertise to leaders and team members on the capabilities of tools and data, while consistently maintaining an enterprise perspective. The Business Intelligence Analyst will also serve as a liaison with HIT, Finance and Operations to help create efficiencies and ensure data integrity/quality. This position will focus on helping to identify opportunities for more efficient operations, support financial analysis needs, and provide valuable insights that drive decision-making. Additionally, the Business Intelligence Analyst will assist with financial proformas, budgeting, forecasting, and other related financial planning needs. The Business Intelligence Analyst may be asked to manage multiple reporting initiatives focused on achieving specific organizational goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysis & Reporting: Create, design, and deliver actionable, accurate reports and visualizations from multiple data sources.
- Data & BI Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for data analytics and resource for organizational leaders. Design and develop custom dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Financial Modeling & Budgeting: Assist leadership by creating and refining financial models, forecasts, and budgets. Ensure reports and models reflect real-time financial health and performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improving reporting processes and BI tools. Drive automation of repetitive tasks, streamline data extraction, and improve efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department leadership, finance teams, HIT and operations to align data strategies with business goals and operational needs.
- Project Management: Manage and lead multiple projects related to business intelligence, financial reporting, and data analytics. Develop project timelines, coordinate resources, and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Cross-functional Communication: Present complex data and financial information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders across various departments. Tailor communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Data Integrity & Quality Assurance: Maintain a high level of data integrity and consistency across reporting and analysis. Validate data accuracy and identify any discrepancies or data quality issues.

- Education:
- 4-Year/Bachelor's Degree required in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Graduate Degree preferred in a relevant field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, financial reporting, or a data analytics role. Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of building financial models, managing budgets, and assisting with forecasting and proformas.
- Experience with SQL (Structured Query Language) for data extraction and manipulation.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Excel (advanced functions, PowerPivot, Power Query, DAX, VBA), and other business intelligence tools.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Project Management:
- Proven ability to manage and lead projects, especially related to business intelligence, financial reporting, and data analytics, from initiation to completion.
- Expertise in developing project plans, setting clear goals and timelines, and ensuring projects are completed within scope and on schedule.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to track milestones and deliverables.
- Financial & Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of financial principles including financial statement analysis, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow projections.
- Ability to develop financial proformas, forecasts, and other financial models to assist with decision-making and strategic planning.
- In-depth knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial ratios used to assess business performance.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Ability to conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and support strategic business decisions.
- Proficiency in creating complex reports and data visualizations that are actionable, insightful, and tailored to various audiences.
- Automation & Efficiency:
- Experience with automating data reporting processes, streamlining data workflows, and creating efficient methods for continuous improvement.
- Strong skills in using Excel macros, scripting, and BI tools to improve processes and reporting capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Ability to work closely with finance, operations, and IT teams to gather business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Actively contribute to team discussions and provide expert advice on how to leverage business intelligence for operational improvements.
- Communication & Presentation:
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to present complex data and financial information clearly and concisely to diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail:
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, especially when reviewing financial data, reports, and operational performance metrics.
