JOB TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Server / Sky House POSITION TYPE: Seasonal - Full Time & Part Time STARTING WAGE: $11 plus tips SUPERVISORY: NO SUPERVISED BY: Sky House FOH Manager POSITION SUMMARY: WORK ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN! To provide the highest quality of service to guests in accordance with company policies and objectives, to strive toward guest satisfaction, positive employee relations, and profitability. The food server is the primary contact the guest has during their experience at the Sky House. The server is also the primary salesperson therefore, thorough knowledge of our menus is critical. You are responsible for ringing in orders, handling payment, and seeing to the needs of our guests. Maintains positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude toward guests and coworkers. Assists others whenever able. Takes a proactive approach to teamwork. Applicants should be 21 years or older due to alcohol service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude towards guests and coworkers. Work as part of the team by assisting others, communicating, and proactivity troubleshoot problems. Serves guests in a prompt, courteous manner; presents menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and beverages. Takes food and beverage orders accurately from guests and writes orders down. Processes guest orders and ensures accuracy of items. Serves courses promptly, with proper timing. Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course. Uses accurate cash handling and accepts guest's payment transactions. Responsible for daily paperwork and reconciliation. Must be knowledgeable of and be accountable for enforcement of Idaho State Liquor and identification laws. Responsible to stay busy during slow times and keep up on side work. Must complete opening and closing tasks which includes cleaning duties, such as vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping. Servers are to maintain a professional appearance while following to the Sky House dress code. Typical shift is 10am-5pm. Must have open availability. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Required to lift over 25lbs frequently and over 50lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite will be inside and outside. All sensory skills needed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and are not limited to these items.
