Department:ICE | PTSL Pharmacy Technicians OP CDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:This posting will fill multiple positions:Pharmacy Technician I/II/III work under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, the Pharmacy Technician I/II/III will support various operations of the department. They will assist the pharmacists in day-to-day dispensing operations, patient outreach, medication delivery and other facets of the program. The Pharmacy Technician must be able to take multiple deliveries to various areas of the hospital and campus each day. In addition to these duties, they may be utilized to assist with the everyday operations of the Outpatient Pharmacy including but not limited to dispensing, cycle counts, expired pulls, and point-of-sale customer care. The Pharmacy Technician I/II/III will prioritize work based on immediate need and rapidly changing workload. They will work as a team member to perform day-to-day work efficiently and accurately, along with any additional tasks or projects to help achieve departmental goals. According to the UAMS Pharmacy Technician Career Ladder, a Pharmacy Technician II/III may perform one of these specialized roles: automation, controlled substances, pharmacy buyer, investigational drugs, medication reconciliation, sterile compounding specialist, or WAM (retail) order entry.
