ABOUT THE TEAM



  • The Finance & Strategy team within Global Banking & Markets focuses globally on the Division's performance
    analytics and strategic initiatives & processes, including revenue & expense analysis and reporting, reporting
    workflows optimization, business planning/forecasting, compensation analytics, and competitor/market share
    analysis.
  • The team is composed of individuals with backgrounds across consulting, financial modelling & management,
    accounting, risk management, technology & engineering. Individuals at all levels in the team take ownership for
    strategic initiatives and financial analyses.


CANDIDATES ROLE ON THE TEAM



  • Financial Analytics - Analytics development and periodic reporting on divisional performance (revenue, expenses
    and shareholder returns), including designing and maintaining dashboards used for performance analytics and as
    a quick reference for decision making
  • Financial Processes Management - Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and work with cross-functional
    teams to optimize/automate
  • Business Planning - New initiatives development & tracking and multi/intra-year revenue and expense budgeting
    & forecasting
  • Competitor Analysis - Track, monitor and report on the global banking industry to analyze competitor banks'
    performance pertaining to Global Banking & Markets
  • Expense Management - Stewards of the division's expenses, including managing efficiency projects and
    reporting
  • Sustainable Finance Initiatives - Track, analyze, and manage progress towards firmwide goals with a specific
    focus on FICC & Equities by working closely with cross divisional stakeholders and collaborating with numerous
    teams


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, science, mathematics, or engineering
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel (advanced functions, macros), dashboarding tools (Tableau or QlikView),
    Alteryx (preferred, not required)
  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude with numbers, ability to work with large data; data analytics and database
    query skills preferred
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, and ability to effectively interact with senior
    management and global stakeholders and facilitate data-driven decision making
  • Interested in financial services industry and financial analytics functions
  • Ability to solve problems and thrive in fast-paced, changing environments
  • Capacity to articulate financial results clearly to all levels of management
