Summary:

The associate product realization project manager resides within the Product Realization Services organization and is responsible for assisting Product Realization Project Managers for the management of new program launches/introductions and transfers from new customers and between Benchmark sites. He/she is responsible for achieving high customer satisfaction and for ensuring that new products achieve targeted profit levels. He/she provides strong leadership to site program managers to drive execution of the Benchmark Product Realization Process to ensure commitments are met to customers. Success in this position will provide a path for advancement to Product Realization Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

  • Leads Product Realization tool creation and continuous improvement projects for the Product Realization Services organization.
  • Will lead specific projects to create and enhance standard tools towards digitizing Product Realization for the corporation.
  • Leads Product Realization Dashboard monitoring.
  • Assist Product Realization project management with schedule creation related to NPD, NPL/NPI, and Transition projects and assists with managing project activities and priorities.
  • Assists to ensure successful new product launch/introduction:
    • Ensures execution to standard product realization and transfer processes
    • Helps to set appropriate expectations with customers
    • Helps to manages pricing and ECO prioritization during the process
    • Assists in escalations to mitigate identified risks
  • Understands and maintains customer product knowledge and transfer timeline.
  • Monitors and investigates Product Realization Dashboard metrics and assist to create corrective actions for improvement..
  • Assist in scheduling Product Realization Stage/Phase Gate Reviews and monthly program reviews:
    • Ensures appropriate attendees:
    • Sets meeting objectives, develops agendas and tools to accomplish objectives.
    • Ensures standard tools are accurately and thoroughly completed
    • Prepares internal teams for meeting
  • Helps to ensure action tracker and risk register are actively maintained and updated throughout the product realization process
  • Has an understanding of customer contract terms and conditions to meet Benchmark's obligations.
  • Supports the Product Realization Services team during customer quotation review.
  • Supports the Product Realization Services team during Program Reviews.
  • Coordinates collection and distribution of any required data in support of NPI/NPL programs.

* Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools

* Available for travel up to 50% of the time, including day, overnight and internationally, as required

* Strong knowledge of PowerBI and general database systems.

* Strong knowledge of MS office products (excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

* 4 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management

Level: Associate Manager

  • 2+ years of program management experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively mentor employees at all levels
  • Ability to help drive solutions to complex planning issues with limited supervision
  • Effective analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate leadership and people management skills
  • Demonstrate teamwork and the ability to operate on diverse project teams with minimal direction
  • Good financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship building and project management
  • Lead or participate in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format
