Job Description
The Manager - Clinical Quality provides front line support and functions to assure appropriate nursing practices are aligned systemically with evidenced based clinical practice and regulatory compliance. This position assist with facilitating the delivery of safe, outcomes-based practice, and participates in planning and implementing initiatives aimed at improving clinical quality outcomes and achieving departmental annual goals. This position participates in daily tasks, facilitates annual staff development recommendations, and collaborates with department leaders to establish major objectives and standards to comply with regulatory accreditation agencies. The position serves as the coordinator for unit specific orientation, competency assessments and staff development. This role possesses a horizontal leadership approach with a networking style that enables information to be transmitted quickly to other disciplines and promotes involvement of staff at all levels in decision-making. This position holds a comprehensive perspective of patients, families and caregivers and establishes strong partnerships with them to deliver optimal care. The role provides professional nursing services and patient care in a variety of settings following established nursing process, adherence to hospital or department policies, nursing procedures, standards, and practices.
