- 1+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within an IT or technology-focused environment
- Experience with cloud cost management tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of IT budgeting and forecasting best practices
- Understanding of IT cost drivers and allocation methodologies
- Experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
What will you be doing in this role?...
- Develop and maintain annual operating budgets and forecasts for the IT department, aligned with overall corporate goals
- Perform variance analysis to identify and explain deviations from budget and forecast
- Analyze trends in IT spending and identify areas for cost optimization
- Support the development of long-range financial plans for the IT department
- Evaluate the financial impact of major IT projects and initiatives
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support IT leadership and other stakeholders
- Build and maintain complex financial models for the IT department using specialized software like Excel or VBA.
- Develop and implement methodologies for capturing and forecasting IT costs, including hardware, software, personnel, and cloud services.
- Automate data feeds and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial models
- Stay current on industry best practices for IT financial modelling
- Extract and analyze relevant data from various sources, including ERP systems, cloud cost management tools, and internal databases
- Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the IT department
- Create clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate financial insights to IT leadership and other stakeholders
- Partner with IT leadership, business units, and the broader finance team to ensure alignment between IT financial plans and corporate objectives
- Clearly communicate complex financial information to a variety of audiences, tailoring communication style to the recipient's level of understanding
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to provide financial expertise
