Job Description:
As a Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining performance testing frameworks to ensure the scalability and reliability of our applications. You will work closely with development and operations teams to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute performance tests using JMeter to evaluate the scalability and reliability of applications.
- Conduct API testing to ensure the robustness and efficiency of backend services.
- Monitor and analyze cloud Kubernetes metrics to optimize resource utilization and performance.
- Utilize Azure services for performance testing and monitoring.
- Write and maintain shell scripts and batch scripts for automation tasks.
- Identify key performance metrics for both UI and API and ensure they meet the required standards.
- Use Grafana to visualize and analyze performance metrics.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
- Provide detailed performance analysis reports and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in performance testing and automation using JMeter.
- Strong understanding of API testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Kubernetes and Azure.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and batch scripting.
- Knowledge of key performance metrics for UI and API.
- Experience with Grafana for performance monitoring and visualization.
- Previous working experience with performance tools for UI and API testing.
- Familiarity with similar performance testing tools such as Gatling, Locust, LoadRunner, and BlazeMeter.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other performance testing tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization.
- Experience in software load and performance testing
