Job Title: Material Handling Operator II

Location(s): Wichita, KS

Job Description:

This position is focused on receiving and handling material functions within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in receiving or warehouse operations, be physically capable of lifting materials (up to 50 lbs), and be comfortable working with computer systems. Experience with MS Office and SAP is a strong plus.

• Receiving & Inspection:
  
  
  
  • Accept incoming goods and verify against shipping documents (material number, description, quantity).
  • Check for visible damage and document/report as necessary.
  • Ensure correct use of transport equipment (e.g., forklifts, hand trucks).
  
  
  
  
• Inventory Management:
  
  
  
  • Record goods movement in warehouse systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Arrange proper acceptance, storage, and removal of goods.
  • Perform regular stock checks and inventory maintenance.
  
  
  
  
• Order Fulfillment:
  
  
  
  • Assemble deliveries from storage locations.
  • Review for completeness and accuracy based on delivery notes.
  • Pack deliveries per shipping instructions (including Dangerous Goods requirements) and generate shipping documentation.
  
  
  
  
• Material Transport:
  
  
  
  • Safely complete internal and occasional external transports using appropriate equipment.
  
  
  
  

• Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or receiving functions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Basic computer literacy; familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.

• Vocational training or 2-year technical program in logistics or related field.
• 1+ years of relevant work experience in warehouse or material handling roles.
• Understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.

• "Skilled Operator / Clerk" or "Vocationally Trained Operator / Administrator"
• Able to work independently using established procedures.
• Handles standard processes and adapts to routine changes effectively.
• In production or assembly settings, may operate specialized equipment or follow structured assembly routines.
