Position Objective:

Plans and directs regional sales activities to optimize bookings and maximize sales orders to meet or exceed bookings quotas and sales objectives. Channels include, but not limited to, Distribution and the C&I direct Regional Sales team.

Key Accountabilities:

Regional Sales

  • Works as a TEAM player between all sales and promotion stakeholders
  • Formulates and implements sales promotion policies and procedures, as well as forecasting. Assists with overall sales promotion and marketing programs to meet regional business/product group goals
  • Develops regional sales strategies to achieve sales and margin goals for the company
  • Originates new uses and markets for products and recommends distribution channels for them
  • Manages product pricing decisions to meet sales and profit margin goals
  • Keeps informed of changes in assigned region that might affect product sales. Gathers and shares information regarding competitive product developments, sales strategies, etc. Communicates regularly with sales and operations management regarding issues
  • Generates reports on business sales activities and makes periodic forecasts on sales potential to sales and operations management staff

Customer Service

  • Calls on existing or potential customers to establish and maintain relationships
  • Maintains a team philosophy with other departments to facilitate problem solving and provide good customer service
  • Provides information on product application, technical assistance, pricing strategies and competitive information to field sales
  • Analyze and proposes changes in equipment or use of materials which would result in cost reduction or more efficient operation

Management

  • Quarterly and Annually performance reviews of direct reports
  • Responsible for Distribution, District and Branch Management in the given territory.
  • Building Team morale and collaboration between all sales channels in the assigned territory
  • Ensuring employee trainings are completed on time
  • Involved in the Hiring process to fill job openings within team
Requirements

Position Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university is required;
  2. 10-15 years of relevant selling experience;
  3. Understanding and experience with high value-added product selling, pricing, negotiating and channel management;
  4. Ability to communicate and sell both products and value concepts at all organizational levels;
  5. Be able to synthesize various input and ideas into relevant and clear strategies and secure buy-in from diverse teams to implement them;
  6. Must understand the importance and role of "value" and "brand" in building a profitable business and have experience in both product management and P&L management. A history of consistently delivering on expectations for growth and profitability must be demonstrated;
  7. Team player with proven success in meeting sales goals;
  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  9. Experience with SAP a plus;
  10. Experience with SalesForce preferred.
