This Position reports to:

Project Operations Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to play an essential role in the growth of the business by providing a cohesive project management strategy to assure adequate levels of project profitability, risk mitigation, issue containment and instill a relentless pursuit of process excellence to assure a positive customer experience. You will also showcase your expertise by coordinating and overseeing team development and standardized process development to continually improve the effectiveness of Project Execution teams.

The work model for the role is hybrid in Houston, TX. or Lake Mary, FL #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in North America.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Leading a group of project managers in the execution of projects in terms of the main contractual obligations' - i.e. full compliance with ABB code of conduct, contract scope of supply, agreed technical requirements, timely delivery and quality as well as achievement of the expected project profitability and cash collection.
  • Leading the implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for local or regional Project Operations.
  • Develop customer relationships by maintaining close contact with customers and project participants. Assist in identifying and resolving issues of mutual concern and seeking opportunities for additional business. Ensure timely contract completion, customer satisfaction and de-sired financial return to achieve a win-win environment
  • Overseeing and leading the local Project Execution team, ensuring that ABB policies are consistently followed.
Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in an operational and/or customer-facing role
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred
  • Strong leadership qualities with proven relationship building capabilities
  • Ability to travel domestically an estimated 25% of the time
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
