STS Technical Services is actively hiring Finishing / Assembly Team Members to join our client's operations team in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity to start or grow your career in advanced manufacturing with a company that values precision, quality, and craftsmanship.


Position Summary:

As a Finishing / Assembly Team Member, you will support the final stages of the manufacturing process by deburring, cleaning, assembling, and packaging components according to customer specifications. You'll work with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment in a fast-paced production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Use tools such as drills, reamers, files, taps, picks, and more to complete finishing operations
  • Operate power tools and specialized machinery to blend, polish, and finish surfaces per specifications
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, bore gauges, and templates to ensure quality
  • Assemble components using detailed work instructions and Bills of Material
  • Support multi-level assembly processes, fixturing, or tool setups
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of production and quality goals

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Entry-level applicants welcome - training is provided
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Comfortable working with hand tools and gauges
  • Manual dexterity, strong hand-eye coordination, and good vision (corrected to 20/20)
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting customer expectations
  • Willingness to learn finish techniques, cleanliness, packaging requirements, and special customer specifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and equipment
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception

Work Environment:

  • Factory setting with exposure to wet/humid conditions, chemicals, and airborne particles
  • Work may involve loud noise levels and proximity to moving machinery
