About the Job

Standard Hours: 30 hours per week

The position will primarily consist of graphic designing (using Canva) and event planning/implementation related to alumni and development projects and initiatives. This position will work closely with the Alumni and Donor Relations and University Relations teams.

1. Events (planning, preparation, communicating, and/or implementation)

  • Olsonawski Golf Tournament (June 5, 2025)
  • Northwest School of Agriculture (NWSA) Reunion (June 27, 2025)
  • UM Day with the Twins (June 6, 2025) - with Brew Bash
  • UMC Teambackers Golf Classic Tournament (July 25, 2025)
  • Torch & Shield (August 20, 2025)
  • Summer 2025 Brew Bashes (TBD)
  • Planning for Fall Semester Alumni Events (e.g., Baseball Alumni Weekend, Homecoming, etc.)

2. Graphic Design

  • Designs related to events (listed above).
  • Torchlight e-Newsletter
  • Torch Magazine

3. Other Office Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience creating designs in Canva
  • Effective communication skills
  • Detail oriented
Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
