Responsibilities

Keysight's Solution Engineer (SE) Organization is looking for an SE District Manager to lead a team of SE's serving customers in the southwest United States. Desired location is southern California but willing to consider candidates in the region near customer hubs (CA, CO, TX).

SE Team Responsibilities:

  • Lead Keysight's RFuW customer engagements from a technical perspective, be a key contributor of technical expertise and business/ industry knowledge
  • Analyze customer requirements and team with sales professionals, industry solution teams, and other disciplines to develop and win complex opportunities. Own the deal's technical closure.
  • Own the technical solution development, demonstration, proposal (pre sales responsibility), as well as training & delivery (post sales responsibility).
  • Solve complex, high impact system and solution engineering services problems
  • Create demand for Keysight's products and services through presentations, seminars, and demonstrations
  • Develop and build long term relationships and loyalty with customers as a resident expert while ensuring high customer satisfaction
  • Act as the customer voice to influence future solution/product designs that meets customer needs.

District Manager Responsibilities:

  • RFuW SE team coverage for southwest sales districts. Metrics are RFuW business performance, consulting engagements and deliveries, and overall customer RFuW customer and sales team satisfaction
  • Enable a team culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and uncompromising integrity. Ensure SE's are able to thrive and perform to best of their ability in their assignments. Enable individual growth through mentoring, technical training, demo equipment resources, connection to the team and organization.
  • Lead and assist priority or escalated engagements when needed (internal and external/customer teams)
  • People management including objective setting, individual and team targets, performance reviews.
  • This position is compensated by a 90% salary and 10% commission. It yields 100% target pay achievement at 100% of targeted sales with higher commission rates once the target is exceeded.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor level or higher degree in EE or related field
  • 8+ years relevant industry experience desired with emphasis in RF Systems or equivalent, with customer facing experience
  • One Keysight mindset, continuous focus on customer success.
  • The ability to build and lead virtual teams (customer, field, factory) to solve problems across boundaries.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers and internal teammates. Well balanced, excellent in dealing with diversities in views, personalities, and expertise.
  • Strong understanding of RFuW test and measurement applications, emphasis on vector network analysis, IQ modulation, signal generation and analysis.
  • Deep hands on experience and capability with RF test equipment. Expert understanding of Keysight instrument theory, operations and applications.
  • Passion for continuous learning and improvement
  • Strong written & verbal technical communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate information and build consensus across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effective presentation and problem solving skills
  • Passion for mentoring, seeing others succeed and grow
  • Extremely flexible to support business needs

  • Comfortable in challenging customers by offering unique, value add perspectives
  • Familiarity with instrument automation and related software projects using programming languages such as C#, Python, Matlab, C preferred

California pay range: MIN $214,620.00, MIDPOINT $286,160.00 - MAX $357,700.00

Colorado and TX pay range: $199,290.00 MIDPOINT: $265,720.00 MAX: $332,150.00
