Job Summary
This role is responsible for assisting in the processing of payroll, administering employee benefits programs, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Ensure accuracy of payroll data by verifying employee time records, calculating hours, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain employee payroll and benefits records, updating information as necessary.
- Assist employees with payroll or benefits inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate onboarding of new hires into payroll and benefits systems.
- Review and distribute payroll reports, tax filings, and other related documentation.
- Reconcile and pay invoices for benefits plans.
- Stay up to date with local, state, and federal payroll and benefits regulations.
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews related to payroll and benefits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll and/or benefits administration.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Knowledge of payroll laws, benefits compliance, and HR best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, especially during payroll cycles.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
