YOUR ROLE:
We're seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to manage our
Enterprise Applications team, responsible for supporting and optimizing our global application ecosystem. This role also leads global IT procurement, managing enterprise vendor agreements (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco) and ensuring alignment with Promega's operational goals. Ideal candidates will have deep experience in enterprise IT environments, strong leadership and vendor management skills, and a passion for innovation and team development. JOB OBJECTIVE: Lead and manage the Enterprise Applications team responsible for supporting Promega's global technology stack including, but not limited to, Microsoft M365, MS Teams, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence and FreshService. This role will also oversee global IT procurement processes for software and hardware, including managing large enterprise agreements with major vendors such as Microsoft.
CORE DUTIES:
1. Provide strategic and day-to-day hands-on leadership to the Enterprise Applications team, ensuring support, maintenance, and optimization of the Microsoft M365 suite and other enterprise platforms.
2. Oversee IT procurement processes globally, including software and hardware purchasing, licensing compliance, and vendor relationship management.
3. Manage and negotiate large-scale enterprise agreements with key vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco), ensuring cost-effectiveness and contractual compliance.
4. Partner with cross-functional teams to assess business needs and implement application solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
5. Establish and enforce best practices for application lifecycle management, user access, security, and change control processes.
6. Ensure governance and risk management practices are applied to enterprise platforms in alignment with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
7. Drive continuous improvement by monitoring performance metrics, staying current with technology trends, and fostering innovation within the team.
8. Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and trends to enhance business processes and user experience.
9. Mentor and develop team members, promoting skill growth and engagement.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 7 years of progressive IT experience, and 2 years of management or leadership experience.
3. Demonstrated experience managing enterprise application environments, particularly Microsoft M365 and related technologies.
4. Experience managing IT procurement processes and global vendor agreements.
5. Strong relationship management and communication skills, including team building, negotiating, conflict resolution and strong customer service orientation. Ability to interact with senior executives.
6. Effective interpersonal skills, skilled in managing team dynamics. Ability to lead and persuade others in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities and assignments. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Strong organizational and project management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience with large enterprise software agreements, including negotiation and license management.
2. Background in enterprise IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.
3. Experience working in an international cultural environment with management and other stakeholders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Ability to remain stationary for several hours at a time.
2. Ability to use a computer/Microsoft Office applications. 3. On-call availability and ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours.
