It should be selected to recognize differences which are not enough to be represented by a separate Assignment level, such as increased proficiency in skills/competencies to perform responsibilities, greater impact to the business unit, customer, segment, geography, etc. May also provide guidance or leadership to other Associates. Assignment Family Group: Supply The design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand and measuring performance globally. Assignment Family: Supply Chain Distribution beginning with the supplier of materials or components, extending through a manufacturing process to the distributor and retailer, and ultimately to the consumer. Plans and coordinates the major physical distribution and materials management activities of the business unit, including distribution, transportation, production planning and inventory planning and control; may also be responsible for customer service and ordering processes. Defines and directs the strategic supply direction needed to achieve long term operating and profit goals. May be accountable for plant operations and/or multi-site operations, which provide products that meet quality, cost, volume and service criteria. Is responsible for the delivery of the financial results for all supply related activities. Supply Chain Planning Manages or performs the work associated with supply planning functions including production, materials and inventory control functions, often including multiple facilities. Responsible for couples of the following: production planning and control and master scheduling, forecasts materials, builds/validates forecast models, plans and/or controls inventory of finished goods for sales warehouses, distribution centers, and factory mixing points to meet sales and distribution demand. Analyzes supply and inventory levels, inventory positioning, and planned production and sales forecasts. Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns. Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
