About the team

Worldpay, LLC seeks Development Manager in Cincinnati, OH to design, code, test, implement, maintain and support applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.

What you will be doing

The Development Manager Will work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions ensuring alignment with business and its strategies and complying with Worldpay architectural standards. Additionally, the role will:

  • Provide application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
  • Develop program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
  • Code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications.
  • Maintain, test and integrate application components.
  • Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Worldpay systems and the financial services industry.
  • Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product designs.
  • Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation.
  • Suggest technical alternatives and improve/streamline processes and systems.
  • Complete project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations.
  • Conduct planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks.
  • Participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.
  • Provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation:

  • managing performance appraisals and pay reviews;
  • designing and developing applications through the full software development lifecycle following Agile principles;
  • estimating feature deliverables based on team velocity and capacity to arrive at a consensus on committed deliverables scheduled within a Program Increment;
  • aligning engineering efforts with the team's Product Owner and incorporating Agile ceremonies with engagement from the team's Scrum Master;
  • promoting software engineering best practices, referencing our lean SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) for guidance.
  • Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
