Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus, part of Yale New Haven Health, is seeking a full-time Day Hospitalist to join its inpatient team. This role follows a seven-on/seven-off block schedule, offering both professional stability and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges.
• Manage diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and coordination of care with nursing staff and specialists.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
• Participate in rapid responses and inpatient emergencies as required.
• Serve as a professional leader and role model, participating in hospital committees, promoting best practices, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Education:

• D. or D.O., with completion of an ACGME - accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
• Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Must obtain attending medical staff privileges at respective YNHHS entity.

Licensure:

• Hold a valid Connecticut medical license,
• Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration and
• Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification.
