Position Responsibilities

This position is responsible for leading the organization's technology strategy, overseeing all aspects of information technology (IT) operations, and facilities. This includes managing internal IT systems and infrastructure and helpdesk support. The role, reporting to Deltek's CFO, will work closely with the Deltek leadership team to align IT initiatives with the company's business goals, optimize technology investments, and ensure robust cybersecurity and compliance measures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Internal Information Technology Management and Innovation:

  • Develop and implement an overarching IT strategy that supports business objectives.
  • Identify and implement new technologies that can improve business operations throughout the company.
  • Direct the development and deployment of company technology systems, such as ERP, CRM, SaaS solutions and analytics platforms.
  • Oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud solutions, and enterprise applications.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability to meet current and future business needs of technology supporting a global workforce.
  • Partner with other business units to identify and address their IT needs
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and achieve business goals.
  • Manage IT budgets, expenditures, and procurement processes to maximize cost-efficiency.
2. IT Support Oversight:
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for IT support services.
  • Ensure that helpdesk operations align with business priorities, enhancing productivity and user satisfaction.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure the effectiveness of IT support services.
  • Drive initiatives to modernize and streamline IT support functions, including the adoption of automation and self-service solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging analytics and user feedback to optimize support strategies.
3. Cybersecurity and Compliance:
  • Work with the Company's CISO to develop and implement IT security policies and procedures to protect business data and systems.
  • Ensure IT compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.
4. IT Governance and Leadership:
  • Build, lead, mentor and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Establish IT governance frameworks to ensure accountability, transparency, and efficiency.
5. Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and suppliers.
  • Working with Deltek's Legal team, negotiate contracts and ensure vendors meet their obligations.
  • Monitor and report on the ROI of technology investments.
  • Evaluate and assist in the selection of new technologies and vendors for all Deltek technology investments.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, and preferably experience managing teams in a global, multi-site environment.
  • Proven track record of managing enterprise IT systems, and helpdesk operations and leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Experience with IT budgeting, strategic planning, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience with staying up to date on the latest technologies and trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or CISM.
  • Experience in cloud computing, AI, and emerging technologies.
