Job Description: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) 24 Hours Weekly, Part Time, Days The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for implementing treatment plans designed and delegated by the Physical Therapist, performing duties within the scope of their education and training. The PTA will monitor treatment effectiveness, make clinical decisions under PT supervision, and document care per departmental policy using EMR. Responsibilities include supervising students and volunteers, educating patients and families, supporting discharge planning, and participating in program development and quality initiatives. The PTA will communicate regularly with the PT, report changes or adverse reactions, and ensure timely documentation for assessments and recertifications. Strong time management, productivity awareness, and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. The PTA also plays a key role in educating patients and the community, ensuring safety, health maintenance, and appropriate referrals. Accurate clinical documentation and billing are required to support continuity of care and compliance. Requirements: Associates Degree in PTA from an accredited program Active PTA License in Kentucky BCLS required within 90 days of hire
