Position Description Evaluates, designs, coordinates and implements training and education programs specific to departmental specialty. Conducts integrated training needs assessments and monitors and reports the effectiveness of training.

Major/Essential Functions
- As a member of the Education, Training, and Development team within Texas Tech University's Operations Division, the role entails spearheading the design, creation, and implementation of compelling content aimed at enhancing educational experiences and fostering professional growth.
- Responsibilities include developing innovative training materials, curriculum, and resources tailored to diverse learning needs and objectives. This involves collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance, as well as utilizing various multimedia platforms to deliver engaging content. Additionally, the position involves evaluating the effectiveness of educational initiatives through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics, iterating and refining content as needed to optimize learning outcomes. By leveraging expertise in instructional design and educational technology, the incumbent plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of the Operations Division by equipping staff and faculty with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in their roles.
- Compliance, Documentation and Data Reporting. Responsible for ensuring compliance, meticulous documentation, and accurate data reporting are paramount responsibilities. This entails staying abreast of relevant regulations, policies, and best practices to develop and maintain training programs that meet or exceed compliance standards. The role involves meticulously documenting all aspects of educational initiatives, including curriculum, training materials, attendance records, and evaluations.

- Responsible for being dedicated to and cultivated a vibrant culture and fostering meaningful connections among staff and faculty. Responsibilities include developing and implementing initiatives that promote teamwork, collaboration, and camaraderie, such as team-building activities, networking events, and recognition programs. The role also involves fostering mentorship opportunities and creating platforms for knowledge sharing and professional development. This position also assists with the recruitment of new employees.
- Responsible for onboarding new employees, creating content and guiding individuals through our comprehensive training program. By crafting engaging and informative materials, including welcome packets, training manuals, and multimedia presentations. Ensure that new hires are equipped with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed in their roles. Takes a hands-on approach to personally enrolling new employees in various orientations and training sessions and guiding them through each step of the onboarding process. This includes familiarizing them with company policies, introducing them to key team members, and providing ongoing support and mentorship as they acclimate to their new workplace.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field plus three (3) years related experience or a combination of education and experience to equal seven years.

- Previous experience in an educational setting.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or student organizations.
