Lubbock Senior Safety Officer - Laboratory Safety 40637BR Environmental Health and Safety Position Description Performs complex safety and health program work. Work involves developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, participating in the safety training and education of staff, inspecting work areas and activities for hazards, and investigating accidents. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Major/Essential Functions
Required Qualifications Proficiency in a STEM-related field reflected by completion of a bachelor's degree or a minimum of two years of STEM college-level coursework and four years of equivalent job experience in a professional setting. Knowledge of federal and state laws and systems associated with health and safety regulation. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and perform basic math. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
