The Analyst in the Center of Student Life and Leadership is responsible for supporting and developing programs that contribute to a vibrant campus life and student experience. This position will provide planning, development, implementation, and assessment of both campus-specific and large-scale district-wide events and ongoing student leadership programs to meet the needs of a variety of students. This role is essential in helping students reach their leadership and life goals by offering them professional, educational, and leadership development opportunities. This position plays a crucial role in collaborating with the Student Leadership Council as the main advisor, managing all student clubs and organizations, and supporting programming to guarantee thorough training and development for all student organizations. Essential Functions 45% - Program coordination: Provides leadership and coordination of all student-facing civic engagement and leadership efforts offered through the Center for Student Life and Leadership; evaluates and analyzes national, local, and campus-specific issues as well as current and relevant student demographic and outcomes data to inform decisions made and approaches taken to program development, continuation, or evolution; coordinates activities of the service area where appropriate with interrelated activities of other programs, departments, or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications; develops, compiles, and writes communications and promotional literature for distribution, such as newsletters, brochures, or flyers; coordinates process from development through printing and distribution; develops and facilitates civic engagement/leadership-related workshops, meetings, or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling, and participant communications; meets departmental planning expectations (e.g. voter registration) with an approach that thinks critically about community voice, inequity, power, and privilege in civic engagement programs; evaluates program effectiveness for continuous improvement; devices and implements evaluation methodology; analyzes results and recommends and/or takes appropriate action; provides consultative services to management in establishing overall goals and priorities related to diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies. 45% - Direct student support: Serves as the lead/advisor for civic engagement/leadership-focused district and campus initiatives; interacts and liaises with students, faculty, staff, and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives; monitors changes and provides recommendations to management for action; researches, develops, and recommends inclusionary best practices; collaborates with departments in improving support to students on campus within the framework of their student lifecycle. 10% - Collaborates within the department, Student Affairs, and with all divisions of the College and the District which can include attending meetings, serving on committees, mascot management and coordination, and performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation. Desired Qualifications A. Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution B. Experience in working with students, preferably in an area of civic engagement and leadership. (residence life, or student government). C. Experience developing relevant programming (Clubs/ organizations) , and providing service support through an innovative lens. D. Experience with civic engagement (volunteering), experiential civic components (Community projects), action plans to address social issues, or working to solve campus or community concerns. E. Experience and proficiency with technology systems to serve students effectively in physical and online settings.( Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, or Zoom for virtual meetings, group projects, and sharing resources).
