Overview

This is an entry-level and temporary position located in Columbus, MS. This position will work under the specific direction of the Chief Community Development and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer, and/or other staff members, as assigned. This position will support corporate efforts and initiatives to increase community outreach, education and engagement. This position also provides administrative support for the promotion of various programs sponsored by the Social Responsibility and Community Development Division, such as Renasant Roots. This position will actively participate in events and activities designed to raise awareness of corporate programs offered in communities throughout the company's corporate footprint.



Responsibilities

    Research and identify community events and opportunities
  • Assist in the development of a corporate wide community events calendar
  • Attend community outreach events
  • Assist with administrative tasks (emails, transcribing meeting notes, inputting into CRA and Outreach)
  • Monitor and update database, tracking monthly data for trend analysis
  • Assist in organizing Community Outreach and Empowerment events
  • Assist in the development of PowerPoint and other materials
  • Communicate with internal and external professionals for the purpose of coordinating events and meetings and providing/obtaining information
  • Update the Renasant Roots internal newsletter template
  • Assist with upcoming Renasant Roots seminars/webinars, including marketing materials as needed
  • Assist with strategy for new campaigns, including marketing materials as needed
  • Perform other related clerical and administrative duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Undergraduate student studying public policy, journalism, marketing, communications, or other business-related field
  • Ability to review and evaluate data for the purpose of reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with PowerPoint, Keynote and other presentation tools
  • Advanced skills with Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and trends
  • Outgoing friendly and positive personality
  • Availability to attend events which may require travel on occasion
