Part Time - Control Panel Fabricator snn The control panel fabricator is only part-time unless they have other industrial equipment install experience, then it could be full-time. If full-time, the hours are 7:00 am- 3:30 pm. Part-time is morning hours less than 30 hours per week. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded from time to time to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary. * Acts in compliance to safety rules, puts safety first in all responsibilities. Works with the Installation Manager, and the EHS Manager, to adhere to all policies and programs to assure a safe working environment. * Panel building and wiring for in-house built electrical control panels. Verifies the correct components, wiring, spacing, and part info with all panel components, to ensure a safe and reliable panel. * Red lines and/or gives technical feedback to Automation Controls Engineers, for any panel layout drawings. Expected to work as a teammate with Control Engineers to help identify potential issues, help rectify designs issues, to ensure a reliable and safe panel build. Helps plan and facilitate the completion of panel and enclosure projects. * Assists maintenance personnel on electrical or panel related trouble shooting, issues, or diagnosis; and proposes and helps implement replacement and repairs for such projects. * Document and maintain workmanship standards for panel building, and electrical and control enclosures. * Advise the machine science department on equipment standards, so outside work follows our in-house equipment standards, as it relates to wiring, enclosure, and electrical related layout and workmanship. * Work from project BOM's, requisitions needed service and/or parts, for projects assigned. * Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: This position requires a technical degree in Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in the related field. Five to seven years' experience in manufacturing or foundry industrial equipment maintenance, electrical, enclosure, and panel building. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees to share information, solves problems, and instructs or train lesser skilled employees. Must have the ability to read and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, standards, project plans, and short correspondence. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in applicable situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must possess ability to learn new skills as needed. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires the ability to operate various equipment to include computer, and electrical diagnosis instruments. Should be knowledgeable and/or familiar with applicable codes, rules, guides, and industry standards, specifically NFPA, 70E arc flash standards, and how they relate to the electrical work and panel work being done in house. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands and fingers, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Safety glasses and safety shoes must be worn in all manufacturing areas. Additional PPE may be required as needed.
