Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) (PRN)

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), internally referred to as our Rehabilitation Assistant or Physiotherapy Assistant, in our Therapy Department, at St. Joseph Medical Center (Kansas City, MO), a member of Prime Healthcare. As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for St. Joseph Medical Center Therapy Department you will work under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist. You should you want to work in a friendly team-oriented environment and have some or all of the required experience. Shift's Available: Days

Employment Type: Per Diem (PRN)

Hours: 8-hour shift: 8:00a - 4:30p with Saturday and Holiday rotation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• provides medically prescribed therapeutic services in order to restore function and prevent disability in patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary and/or integumentary disorders
• performs responsibilities in accordance with Physical Therapy, state and federal regulatory, licensing and accrediting requirements
• treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions

• our shift needs are: 8:00-4:30pm, Saturday and Holiday rotation; weekdays as needed/available

Education and Work Experience

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
• current state Physical Therapist Assistance license
• current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• some experience
