Job Description

PSE Vegetation Management is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Vegetation Management team. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for administering day to day functions of PSE's Vegetation Management program. This position will include responsibilities across the entirety of PSE Vegetation Management including but not limited to:




  • Transmission, distribution, and substation maintenance
  • Service Provider oversight and contract management
  • QA/QC functions
  • Reporting and oversight of maintenance workload completion
  • Escalated customer complaints
  • Community forestry
  • Outage investigations and documentation



The Project Coordinator will uphold the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities along with promoting and supporting a culture of total safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical utility aboriculture expertise to various internal groups, outside agencies, and the public.
  • Develop collaborative relationships between PSE Vegetation Management and our customers both internally and externally.
  • Perform Service Provider oversight functions and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Partner with Service Provider to resolve issues and create a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive improvements in the Vegetation Management program and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Attend regular regional operations meetings to address Vegetation Management issues.
  • Accurately identify customer needs, set reasonable expectations, identify potential issues and share alternatives.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and design, operation, and maintenance requirements.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences, sometimes in public settings.
  • Assist in schedule and budget development, management and forecasting.
  • Support emergency response work as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two year Associate's Degree or better in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of cost estimating and scheduling concepts.
  • Knowledge of utility methods, techniques and procedures involved in budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, influence others and resolve issues.
  • Customer-oriented, a positive, team-oriented attitude, flexibility, an understanding of the business issues driving the need for the project, and solid work ethic are expected.

Desired Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of utility vegetation management experience.
  • International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist.
  • Contractor management experience in utility vegetation management.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict without assistance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

The pay range for this position is$70,200.00-$99,800.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
