Position Summary: The Private Banking Relationship Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to both personal and business clientele of the Private Banking Department. This professional is knowledgeable in loans, trust services and all deposit accounts and services in striving to exceed our clients' expectations. This position also requires an individual that has excellent problem solving and prioritizing skills and has a strong attention to detail.

This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines up to one day per week upon completion of onboarding.

Essential Functions:



  • Responsible for the relationship development and proactive customer service of high-net-worth individuals and commercial clientele.
  • Acquire a general knowledge of all products and services of the company to serve as a resource for our clients, cross-sell products and services, and provide effective problem resolution.
  • Coordinate all steps of the loan transaction, from application to closing and funding.
  • Assemble and submit documentation request packet and ensure adherence to all bank policies, including bank loan policy, government regulations, and compliance requirements, as well as matching terms of commitment letters if applicable.
  • Coordinate complex commercial credits and/or purchased/sold loan participation transactions.
  • Service existing loan files, initiate renewals/extensions as loans mature, and follow up on pending items.
  • Facilitate the opening of new Private Banking accounts and help clients set up their automatics and bill pay items, as well as demonstrate and educate clients on how to use online banking, bill pay and mobile banking services.
  • Assist clients with a variety of requests including loan and account inquiries, payments, documentation changes, foreign currency orders etc.
  • Process payments, non-sufficient funds (NSF), non-posts, loan disbursements, participation transactions, draw requests, payoff calculations and wires.
  • Assist Department Head and Officers with tasks, projects, and reporting as assigned.
  • Coordinate and help plan client appreciation luncheons and marketing events.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Perform other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 2 years of lending and or deposit account experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of commercial lending and loan requirements, loan documentation, collateral evaluation, lien perfection and local, state and federal regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge and proven technical skills in deposit accounts, online banking, bill pay and mobile banking preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Products and in working with other bank software.
  • Nebraska Driver's license.

Working Environment:

Indoor work - not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.

Sedentary work, occasionally lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds.

Some travel required.
