Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Hudson Valley is one of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system and serves nearly 9,000 students each year. The college is a recognized leader in career and transfer preparation, workforce training initiatives, distance learning and service to a diverse population of students. Hudson Valley has an extension center in Malta, NY known as HVCC North and sponsors the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center in Troy, NY. In order to be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC does not support Visas. Applicants must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Counseling, Public Administration or related field with 5 years of experience in a secondary/post-secondary institution and/or interacting with external constituents. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in all Microsoft applications. The preferred candidate will have a Master's Degree, Banner experience, teaching or advisement experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution.

DUTIES AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS: The Coordinator of High School Programs reports to the Interim Associate Dean of High School Partnerships and/or their designee, provides and performs the following duties:

1. Visits local high schools and meets with officials to assess current and future programmatic needs.
2. Coordinates the College's offerings for high school students in person at high schools, online and remote.
3. Works with deans and department chairs to develop appropriate initiatives and resolve issues related to College in the High School.
4. Provides oversight to budget preparation and maintenance.
5. Coordinates collection of relevant documents (syllabi, student work) from the high schools for assessment.
6. Assists department chairs in obtaining paperwork and approval of qualified faculty for college in the high school courses.
7. Provides partner schools and faculty with information on college policies and procedures, registration deadlines, and professional development activities.
8. Prepares and presents information about the College at various events, may include occasional evening and weekend hours.
9. Oversees the preparation and dissemination of reports and statistical data for both internal and external stakeholders.
10. Plans and organizes professional development events for high school faculty and administrators as well as events for high school students.
11. Acts as liaison between high schools and various college offices throughout the year for the purposes of marketing, enrollment, grading, and academic and administrative issues.
12. Coordinates for planning and assessment initiatives.
13. Works with K-12 partners to build individual academic plans for program participants.
14. Assists with coordination of activities related to various early college high school programs.
15. Assists with maintenance of online registration systems for college in the high school students.
16. Oversees initiatives related to student success to promote a culture that leads to increased persistence and retention.
17. Oversees accreditation/program review process for College in the High School including preparation of materials and correspondence with schools and academic departments.
18. Responsible for the development and update of student and faculty handbooks and related materials for the program.
19. Fosters a comprehensive faculty liaison program between high schools and college department chairs.
20. Provides direct supervision of departmental staff, including but not limited to hiring, evaluation and training.
21. Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a 12-month, Full-Time position with a salary range of $60,000-$65,000.
