Job Summary

As a Staff Accountant, you'll be part of our Finance Accounting team working under the general direction of the Controller. The Accountant will have an active role in financial reporting, forecasting, monthly closing, journal entries, cash application, and account analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable: Complete daily cash applications and invoicing
  • Monthly Close/Financial Reporting: Prepare and post journal entries, prepare account reconciliations. Identify and resolve financial accounting issues
  • Audits: Assist with external and internal audits/reviews. Complete requested materials timely
  • Reasearch and clear intercompany out of balances
  • Internal control: Evaluate and document procedures and workflow to achieve accurate and efficient accounting systems, safeguard company assets and ensure transactions are recorded properly
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset subsidiary ledger in SAP, depreciation schedules, costing appropriateness of new assets and monitoring asset costs against approved expenditures
  • Provide support to team members to drive efficiency in accounting close
  • Support non-financial departments with reporting and accounting issues
  • Participate in financial projects and initiatives
  • Any other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelors of Science in Accounting or Finance, or
  • 2+ years of experience in the accounting field, including experience in a Manufacturing industry



Preferred Qualifications



  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals, including IFRS
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including email


Physical Requirements



  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times (e.g. files, office supplies, small equipment)
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a compute keyboard, mouse, and otheroffice equipment
  • May need to bend, stoop, or reach occasionally
